Next time you are stuck for an idea for the men in your family, instead of rushing off to Lowe’s or Home Depot to get him the latest power tool or BBQ tool set why not choose something more personal? If he is a golfer, giving a gift card for a course he would not normally play because of the cost, or even tickets to one of the many tournaments, would be a great idea. Or if he is interested in car racing – a test drive on one of the local race tracks that allows amateurs to sample it would fit the bill.
For your busy Mom, sister or daughter: how about booking a makeover for her at the local beauty shop or treating her to a day of pampering at spa so that she gets the chance to relax and unwind for the day? If she loves the theater, tickets to the hottest new show in town or the latest play would be greatly appreciated.
Instead of flowers and a romantic meal at a restaurant on your anniversary, why not surprise your husband or wife with a weekend away in a hotel in New York or Las Vegas or at the Beach?
Once you start thinking about the person you wish to surprise and taking time to consider their lifestyles and interests, with a little bit of research you will be able to come up with that unique gift and watch how thrilled the recipient will be.
